Not just Maybank. Many cash deposit machines from other banks also behave the same way, e.g. CIMB and Standard Chartered. I know because I used the machines at these two banks frequently. And what do you expect when the machines could have been supplied by the same vendor. Cash deposit machines are generally overly sensitive, presumely to avoid accepting forged notes. And yes, it is infuriating when the machine keeps rejecting cash with apparently no defects or creases. And it doesn’t help one bit with some banks having only one single machine and too many customers queueing up. I try to use internet banking whenever I can. I prefer the Standard Chartered PJ branch because they have more machines and less people. The SCB Bandar Puteri Puchong Branch has just too many people queueing up for two machines (previously only one).

ya..maybank cash deposit really sucks, i get the complaint from my reader..he said that the machine spoilt when depositing money halfway

Yes, a whole line of people were standing behind me, impatient to get to their turn and I felt so bad hogging the machine! Now that you mention it, I’ve actually forgotten that there ever was the new RM50 notes! Haha.
