Shopping spree on the Exchange, but shop wisely

by Penny on September 11, 2008

Watching the market today has given me such adreline rush. Viewing the fastest moving counters, most of them are in red. Many counters’ prices have dipped well below what analysts have forecasted. Some of them have even suffered a 10% drop in stock price. I am particularly interested in a few and am waiting for a good time to pick up.

The counters on the exchange looks fiery red!

Are you watching your counters closely? But beware what you go into. Know the fundamentals of how these counters will react to other economic conditions. Study how they will be affected by the US dollar, commodity prices, etc. In other words, find out the corelation of the stock against all these. Then look into analyst reports and understand what the future looks like. Once you know how the stock you’re eyeing correlates to these events and therefore how they will react, then you will be able to tell if they are worth buying or you need to look into a different category of stocks altogether.

For now, it looks like an exciting time to be window shopping on the exchange!
